About Us
Fuelled by his love for music of all genres, Steve Wilcock (my Dad) decided to give up his desk job as a draftsman and take a leap of faith. In 1973, having borrowed £500 from his Dad, he opened The Hifi Consultants on Whitshead St in Peterborough. This was the start of a family business that has spanned over 50 years.
Growing up in a house where music was played out through all of the changing seasons, it wasn't long until I was initiated into the business. After a detour through the corporate world, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to rejoin the business and work along side Steve again.
Through our combined experience we have amassed an expert knowledge of the high end, home audio industry and have taken great pride in building a network of loyal customers. We believe our longevity is down to a simple passion for music. In our opinion, little compares to the delight of sitting down in front of a good quality hifi in the calm comfort of your own home and listening to the music you love.
If our lives tell a story then the music we choose to listen to is its soundtrack. We want to make sure that your soundtrack is heard in all of its brilliance.
