Koetsu
Yoshiaki Sugano ( 1907-2002 ) founder of Koetsu was fascinated by music reproduction in the home, in particular his personal passion was for the phono cartridge. Sugano-san started hand crafting his own unique brand in the 1970’s- the cartridge legend that bears his ancestor’s name to this day, quickly became the Master Craftsman who created the genre of true high-end phono cartridges. Sugano-san passed on his skills to his son Fumihiko ensuring that these magical cartridges remain to this day hand built in Japan & carry on the tradition.
For more than 40 years Koetsu has masterfully blended delicate materials of natural beauty-to create the most sought after cartridges in the world. Koetsu cartridges stand out not only for their transparent sound and choice of exotic materials, they are all elegant in appearance too.
